FirstHealth of the Carolinas is a private, non-governmental, not-for-profit health care network serving 15 counties in the mid-Carolinas.
FirstHealth of the Carolinas includes three hospitals with a total of 611 licensed beds. In an effort to offer a multi-disciplined continuum of care, FirstHealth also provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, a skilled nursing facility, three centers for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, three wound care centers (two with hyperbaric chambers), three dental care clinics for underprivileged children, seven family care centers, six health and fitness centers, a laundry, four charitable foundations, a Hospice program, a Home Care program, and critical care transport, EMS and medical transport services. FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, the network’s flagship hospital, is a 385-bed acute-care facility offering a broad spectrum of specialties and a full range of health care services.
