I am in love with the Pinehurst area! My very first visit was in the Spring time to visit “Stoneybrook”, our annual steeplechase. The dogwoods and azaleas were blooming everywhere and the grass was so green. How could you not fall in love in the Spring - that was about thirty years ago.

Let me tell you a few of my favorite things to do here in the Sandhills of North Carolina: watch a polo match; walk through the gardens at the local community college; tour a “fruitcake” factory; watch a potter create a pitcher; listen to the North Carolina Symphony on one of their visits; take in the natural beauty and calmness of the golf courses; listen to the songbirds when hiking on the 12 miles of trails in Pinehurst; driving through the lush, rolling hills of cattle farms in the Northern part of the County; watching the US Open on the famous Pinehurst #2 course; hearing the “blessing of the hounds” on the first fox hunt of the year; riding through “horse country”; hearing the chimes from The Village Chapel carillon; visiting historic village homes; seeing a Civil War battle re-enactment at Blue Farm and a Revolutionary War battle at the House in the Horseshoe; participating in live community theatre; boating on Lake Auman; dining at fine restaurants; listening to the “Cowboy Band”; shopping at one of our many specialty shops and singing in the church choir.
