Making a move from the West Coast to the East Coast is no easy feat, and selecting a place to retire is a huge decision. We knew no one and had only a love for golf and warm weather drawing us to the area. So how do you pick a realtor, a town to live in, and a home to fulfill you retirement dreams?
Our journey to Pinehurst started by an internet search and we eventually interviewed 3 potential realtors. We were impressed by the superb website presented by Martha Gentry which always offered floor plans of homes that were listed and more information about each listing than any other site.
After our phone interviews of the realtors, we decided immediately to be represented by Lari Dirkmaat, a Buyer's Representative at Martha Gentry. Lari was very professional, informed, answered our preliminary questions, and took as much time as we needed to make sure we had a good fit and also someone who had a wealth of knowledge about the area and all various neighborhoods and communities. We were delighted and felt we had made a good choice before our trip.
A lot of preparation and property selections were made via the internet prior to our trip. Lari was wonderful to work with long distance. She answered our phone calls and e-mails promptly. When we arrived every thing went like clockwork. She had the 3 days we were there well-planned and gave us a glimpse and brief understanding of every neighborhood so that we could narrow our search. She was willing to adjust her schedule and be available whenever it was needed. She was professional, knowledgeable, on top of every issue, extremely pleasant, diligent, patient and just the best to work with. The Closing Team was very proficient and the office staff was very helpful and friendly.
We certainly would recommend Martha Gentry's Team and our wonderful realtor, Lari Dirkmaat, to anyone making a move to the Pinehurst area.
